SUSTAINABILITY PLAN

Stewardship + Faithfulness = Sustainability

The Intersection of Faithfulness and Stewardship

"Sustainability" is a word we hear a lot in our culture, most often in regard to an organization or the environment. Wherever used, generally, the word carries with it the same three implied questions:

Can it continue as it is?

Is it worthy of continuing as it is?

If it's worthy of continuing, how will it continue?

In a Biblical context, we can understand "Sustainability" as the intersection of Faithfulness and Stewardship. Faithfulness to continue what the Lord has asked us to do (Matthew 24:45-46) and Stewardship to see that it continues to be done well and grows as the result (Matthew 25:20-21).

We obviously believe The Central Valley School of Ministry is "worthy of continuing" its long history of raising up leaders for the churches of our community. The question we seek to answer here is "How will it continue?"

8 Factors of Sustainability

With help from our partners at The Ten Talent Foundation, we have identified 8 Sustainability Factors below that reflect our commitment to being Faithful Stewards of The Central Valley School of Ministry.
