GROWTH PROJECTS

Increasing the impact, and reach of the school.

The following are projects that would help us develop CVSOM to serve more churches better. If you are interested in helping fund any of the projects below fill out the form at the bottom of this page and we'll contact you promptly.

CVSOM in Spanish - $10,000

There is a huge need for CVSOM in the Spanish-speaking churches of the valley. This is by far our most ambitious project. Essentially we would be replicating the entire school in another language on another night of the week. This would involve a rebranding of the school in Spanish as well as curriculum translation, website translation, recruiting and vetting of quality Spanish-speaking instructors, and the hiring of a Spanish-speaking registrar.

Promotional Video - $2,000

We would like to hire a local company to help us make several promotional videos to use when we meet with pastors, visit churches, and advertise the school online.

Pastors Luncheon - $800

Pastors are a tricky bunch to connect with as a group. We have learned from our friends at other ministries that inviting them all to be together for lunch is one of the most successful ways to gather Pastors. Most pastors are skeptical of other ministries' motives, which is understandable. Many times para-church ministries and nonprofits want something from the pastor or the church, we are just the opposite. We want to help them do what they are doing by training leaders to help them do it! Unfortunately, it takes some convincing that this is the case. A quality lunch at a favorite local spot with other pastors they know is a great way for us to do that. By sponsoring a luncheon you would be exposing 30+ local Pastors to the type of leadership development that could change their churches.

1st Satellite Location - $8,500

Technology exists to set up satellite locations to expand the reach of the school to outline areas like Madera, Oakhurst, Visalia, and Exeter. Adding a single satellite location essentially doubles the school's capacity in a single class from 30 to 60. Maintaining the classroom dynamic would require equipment on both ends to facilitate discussion, questions, and presentations. In addition, a dedicated tech person would be required at the host site to set up and run the broadcast. The exact costs are unknown but a conservative estimate is $3,500 per Satellite location for equipment and $5,000 for a dedicated Tech person at the host site for every class.

Chromebook Program - $6,000

A basic laptop is essential for students to access material, take notes, and turn in assignments. Many of our students do not have access to current technology. Working with old equipment makes a rigorous school experience even more difficult. We would like to purchase a class set of 30 Chromebooks ($200 each) that can be checked out to students who need them for the duration of the school. These would remain with the school after graduation to be used again with the next class.
